Last week, MPrep joined the Kenya Primary Schools Head teachers Association (KEPSHA) during their 8th Annual delegates conference held at Sheikh Zayed Children Welfare Center in Mombasa. Having attended the 7th conference last year, this was a great opportunity to reunite with head teachers from all over the country. In attendance are over 15,000 Head teachers from public primary schools, District Education officers, Provincial Directors of Education, and TSC officials.

What we love about this conference is that it is a good networking session because creates a favorable atmosphere for delegates to share experiences and best practices to help improve quality of education and the standards being realized in primary schools. MPrep was therefore very privileged to be one of the exhibitors. Armed with our laptops, mobile phones and info forms, we set up an MPrep tent under the UNICEF’s Child Friendly Schools (CFS) initiative. We were among all of the champions of the Child Friendly Schools initiative.

We had a chance to demo the MPrep revision platform to teachers and guests at the conference. We had an extremely busy week with over 10 teachers in our tent at any given time, all eager to know how this innovative technology will help them in their schools. We were able to take teachers and guests through a step-by-step registration process. We also showed them the various aspects of our platform and they were particularly excited with the school’s analysis tab, which allows them to track the performance of their students in real time.

MPrep’s Peter Sereti spoke in front of nearly 10,000 head teachers and he was able to explain to them how MPrep works and why they should sign up with MPrep platform. After his talk, we had teachers rushing to our tent to see firsthand how the system works. By the end of the four days, we managed to have close to 200 head teachers on our list of prospective registrants. This goes to show that MPrep is taking off…

We also got an opportunity to demo MPrep to prominent guests, including the Vice President Hon. Kalonzo Musyoka , Gatanga MP, Hon. Peter Kenneth, and Cooperative development Minister, Hon. Joe Nyagah.
The conference was a great opportunity for us to launch MPrep nationally. We now have presence all over the country with nearly 6,000 registrants at over 325 schools, and our sales team, led by Peter Sereti, is busy making follow ups and closing sales in the schools that we were able to connect with at the conference.

MPrep was also  featured as one of the “10 Things KEPSHA Cares About” in the annual KEPSHA magazine. We are so grateful to UNICEF for sponsoring our space in their tent during the conference. We also acknowledge the support of KEPSHA officials, the Ministry of Education Quality Assurance Department and everyone who made it possible for us to have such a successful exhibition at the conference.
