MPrep is glad to release its Impact Report. The use of Education Technology in Africa is largely under-utilized and MPrep as a venture is the continent’s icebreaker in the ever-changing Tech-world. Over a nine-month period, an impact study conducted by MPrep significantly turned around the performance of 30 pupils. The study ended in mid-November 2012. We picked on a random basis pupils in class 7 and 8 of M.M. Chandaria Primary School. The school is in Baba Dogo, a densely populated area in Nairobi, Kenya with a dangerous slum on its vicinity. On average, the number of pupils per class ranges from 160 to 180.

In the report, we give graphical representation of the impact. We dedicated 30 minutes weekly for the entire period of the study. The nine-month pilot pegs itself on content-aligned quizzes, individualized feedback, ranking and broadcast of praise. The study also takes into account student behavioral transformation and achievements. It is worth noting that the mean of the school improved significantly in KCPE as compared to the previous years. In fact, the school produced the best pupil in Kasarani District in the national exams. We also pride on successful control for our technology.
