Some people think they have a PHD in maturity because they never post on social media (Rolls eyes emoji). Ha! Who do they think they are?

I don’t care if they are my sister, aunt, uncle or whatever. No one has the right to tell me what to post or not to post on my Facebook, Instagram or Snapchat profiles. People amaze me with their ancient thinking. They should just let me live my life, because I didn’t stop them from living their lives. Duh!

People think that because they are older than you, they have the right to tell you not to live your life the way you want. Hmm! Matter of fact, it’s time for a status update. Let me start with Instagram. Lip gloss, check; Perfect outfit, check; Hair, on fleek. Selfie time!

Which one? Which one? This one looks Pur- fect! It just needs some filters. Now who’s that? I don’t recognize her too. But I love the look. Post! Share on Facebook! Done! I’ll bet you 200 likes in 30 minutes for this one.

Now to this boring homework! I just don’t get it, why do teachers give so much homework? Especially that Physics teacher, he always seems like he’s singing some ancient lullabies during his afternoon classes. That’s why I have to sneak my phone to class. I have better things to do, like Snapchatting the afternoon away. By the way, have you discovered the cool new Snap Map? You can see where your friends and their friends are on a map. Now that’s more interesting than a double lesson in Physics in the afternoon.

I know you are asking why I picked Physics, if I loathe it so much. Story of another day! Let me just say it was pressure from my engineer dad who thinks his first born must follow in his footsteps. I told you these adults just think they can control someone’s life. Ah!

These books tire me. Let me check how many likes I have on my post… Oh! 20 likes, are these people for real? Haters! My selfie is way too cool to get 20 likes only. They should know better.

(Car engine in the background)

Engineer is back! I better burry my head in my Physics book and pretend to be busy reading. I don’t feel like answering his questions of how school was…

………………………………………………………………………………

Sometimes when classes seem to be boring, you could be struggling to grasp concepts that were taught in class. Good thing is we have got you covered with our Sciences content. You can try revising any subject and chat with our teachers on Ask-A-Teacher- concerning those tough questions you have, through our web app. All you might need is extra practice to perfect that subject.

How do you measure success? Sometimes speaking highly of a product might not be so credible especially if it comes from the brand itself.

This is why we love to hear success stories from our learners themselves. We receive lots of messages from users across our range of products. Some are just too compelling to stay hidden in our archives. One of them is Silas Okinyi’s story.

He sat for last year’s Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education. He scored a mean grade of A. Silas couldn’t keep his joy to himself, knowing that he owed a huge part of his success to studying on Shupavu291. This is our SMS product, through which students access bite sized lessons and assessments on SMS.

Silas was a student at Mbita High School in Homa Bay County, in Nyanza Province, rural Kenya. He sent us a text message thanking us for the good work that helped him score an average grade A in his KCSE. We recently followed up with a call. One could still hear the elation in his voice, months after his KCSE results. The surprising thing is that Mbita High School is a Boarding School. This meant that Silas made good use of his time during school holidays.

Before using Shupavu291, he was an average student scoring an average grade B(-). He used to use the normal revision texts that are in the market. The only downside with the study material was that they lacked feedback, to improve his performance.

He heard about Shupavu291 from his form 3 class teacher. Every time he was at home, he would set a target of at least 10 lessons on Shupavu291. “I just had to plan my time well”, he said. He had a Mean grade of A with A(-) in Chemistry, A(-) in Kiswahili and B(+) in Biology.

Silas is currently an intern at Equity Bank, Mbita Point Branch, waiting to join Nairobi University this year. “I would like to study Statistics or Economics”, he said.

Now there goes a success story from a user’s perspective. You too can be a success story with Shupavu291. Simply dial *291# from your Safaricom line to register and access unlimited learning content for primary and secondary levels. Adults cam also access a basic business course and a teacher refresher course. All these for just KES 10 weekly.
